HE WILL LEAVE THE LIGHT ON

We headed off down the road on vacation to an unannounced   location  with two excited boys;   they were thrilled to be going on a  trip.   There was only two more weeks before they were to be back in the classroom, so they were glad to be going on an excursion  one  last  time.     There were at least two questions we were asked time after time... 1.  Where are we going?  2.  When are we going to get there? If these two questions were asked once, they were asked 50 times.                   And they were answered the same every time.. 😊 You will see when you get there.    As nightfall came  upon us, we began to talk about where we would stay the night.  We couldn't seem to locate a hotel where we were... We kept searching.. We started to talk about quality, price,  and of course, the b...

WITH GOD

Today I got to thinking about how we have all had different stories in our lives, and how now we all have new adventures in our lives.     WITH GOD..WE OVERCOME …    We just recently finished half of the year.  JUNE has come and gone.   Many of us have come through some painful memories and deep emotions and held onto the LIGHT OF GOD as he led us through to the other side in our lives.    We are TRULY BLESSED .   It was all wrapped in chosen forgiveness and LEANING ON GOD. I began to see that had I never been wounded so badly, I would never have been able to FORGIVE so freely.     Today, I can honestly thank God for ALL He has accomplished in me.    There are no accidents with God, nor is He surprised by anything or anyone in the life of His child.   He knows every circumstance and they all come to us for a purpose.  They are all bound by his  love and his plan, and a...

HOW THANKFUL ARE YOU

The holiday known as Thanksgiving is just a few months away... WOW, can you believe it.. Yes, this year has flown by.  It is almost the middle of July already.    Now for a little bit of history --  We celebrate Thanksgiving because a fter the harvest crops were gathered in November 1623, Governor William Bradford of the 1620 Pilgrim Colony, “Plymouth Plantation” in Plymouth, Massachusetts proclaimed: "All ye Pilgrims with your wives and little ones, do gather at the Meeting House, on the hill… there to listen to the pastor, and  render Thanksgiving to the Almighty God for all His blessings ." October 3, 1863, Abraham Lincoln  proclaimed , by Act of Congress, an annual National Day of Thanksgiving.   In this Thanksgiving proclamation, our 16th President says that it is… "…announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations are blessed whose God is the Lord… But  we have forgotten God. We ha...

JUST PRAY

Have you ever prayed and prayed for something?   Read Matthew 17:20  Let’s read it together..OUT LOUD… 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.   Did you do it?  What does it mean?   People, after I read this..I got to thinking... maybe it has NOTHING to do with the size of your faith… ****************************************************** It is unbelief.  SAY WHAT????? ****************************************************** He explained FAITH by using the illustration of a mustard seed. A mustard seed is the smallest seed. It is not big, but it is real.  Faith does not have to be huge, like some people say,  but it DOES have to be GENUINE  trust in HIM …   It has to be fait...

OUR KNEES

OUR KNEES My mind has been on " KNEES" the last few days… Did you know that the word kneel is in the Bible 22 times?   There is just something about getting on our knees to pray… No, I am not saying that you have to only pray on your knees because Lord knows I have trouble getting up and down at times, but there is a special reverence there.      Psalm 95:6 6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. Romans 14:11 11 For it is written,  As  I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Philippians 2:9-11 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of  things  in heaven, and  things  in earth, and  things  under the earth; 11 And  that  every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ  is  Lord, ...
