The holiday known as Thanksgiving is just a few months away...
WOW, can you believe it..
Yes, this year has flown by. It is almost the middle of July already.
Now for a little bit of history --
We celebrate Thanksgiving because after the harvest crops were gathered in November 1623, Governor William Bradford of the 1620 Pilgrim Colony, “Plymouth Plantation” in Plymouth, Massachusetts proclaimed:

Now for a little bit of history --
We celebrate Thanksgiving because after the harvest crops were gathered in November 1623, Governor William Bradford of the 1620 Pilgrim Colony, “Plymouth Plantation” in Plymouth, Massachusetts proclaimed:
"All ye Pilgrims with your wives and little
ones, do gather at the Meeting House, on the hill… there to listen to the
pastor, and render Thanksgiving to
the Almighty God for all His blessings."
October 3, 1863,
Abraham Lincoln proclaimed, by Act of Congress, an annual National
Day of Thanksgiving. In this Thanksgiving proclamation, our 16th President says
that it is…
"…announced in the Holy Scriptures and
proven by all history, that those nations are blessed whose God is the Lord…
But we have forgotten God. We have
forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and
enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, by the deceitfulness of our
hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and
virtue of our own… It has seemed to me
fit and proper that God should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged, as with one heart and
one voice, by the whole American people…"
So it is that
on Thanksgiving Day each year, Americans give thanks to Almighty God for all
His blessings and
mercies toward us throughout the year.
Think about that..it is sad that so many people that they are
only to THANK GOD one day a year. How
many people go about their lives every day and never think to THANK GOD that
they woke up?
They never thank God for anything… It's true..
What on this earth is ours?
Where did we get it?
Genesis 1:1-2
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
So who should you be thankful to? ONLY GOD..
HOW THANKFUL ARE WE???? THINK
ABOUT IT THIS WAY…
What if you woke up with only the things/people that you had thanked GOD for the day before?
THANKSGIVING…. ❤
GOD, THANKS FOR GIVING ❤
GOD, THANKS FOR GIVING ❤
GOD GAVE US ALL ❤
<3 BE THANKFUL <3
