WHAT WAS THAT YOU SAID??

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” Ephesians 4:29

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:44-45

Throughout my life, and yours I am sure, we have all faced many things.  There have been times that we have been hurt by people and things they have said.

When I am hurt or bothered I tend to recoil, and start to stay to myself more..

Don’t get me wrong, it is not a self pity thing, it is a GOD thing.  As a Christian, I try to seek him and ask him to help me through these times.  Is it hard?

Well YES !!!  No one is perfect except GOD, but I have learned that seeking GOD’s advice is always the best remedy.  He is always there when I need him.

We may try to manage situations ourselves, but it is GOD that needs to be allowed to be driver in our car of life..We are only there for the ride, and to do his will.

I tell these things to let you know..We all need to strive to control their tongue and mind, because it would be easy to say some things back to a person who is not being kind to us.  It has happened to all of us sometime in our life, and it is wrong; as wrong as the person who did it to you.

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. Proverbs 21:23

The words we all speak (publicly and online) hold great potential, both to harm and to heal. Sometimes we do not mean to harm, but we do.

We should all think before we speak, and type.

The Bible tells us

James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

The recurring theme?  DO NOT BE DECEIVED !!  Although very small, the tongue is powerful and should not be underestimated in its ability to do harm.

If a person testifies in church on Sunday morning and then heads out on Monday morning telling gossip there is something wrong. There is no greater witness than what is passing through their lips.

On the same token, if you are going to your computer and posting garbage or passing gossip, neither of these edifies Christ in your life.  If you are a Christian, you should show forth the presence of him in your life.

If you take a bowl from your cabinet and put chocolate cake mix in it…You don’t get strawberry cake from the oven. You get CHOCOLATE if you mixed it correctly !!!
If you put the ingredients in correctly…You put the chocolate mix in..and didn’t mix in strawberry from another box…then you got chocolate.

Does that mean we’ll always speak flowers and sunshine all the time? No, we are not perfect, but we are to ask GOD to help us.  We are supposed to lean on him for help.

For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. James 3:2

I was so blessed with a wonderful husband; he is such a blessing to me.
He said to me today, as he has said many times in our marriage when I worry about things.
Things are going to be okay. Don’t worry. He gave me a wonderful warm hug.

It was like a hug to my soul and in that moment, all of my worries melted away.

Words can do so much.

The tongue is the most flexible and one of the hardest working muscles in our bodies.
Think before you speak…and before you type.

Your words can hurt AND last a lifetime.

Praying for all who read this.

May God richly bless you and yours.

I GOT THIS ??

As we are now entering a new month,  we pray that you Lord will carry us through each day whatever comes our way.  You will lift us up when we walk through deep waters; you will guard  our steps each day if we are walk near high cliffs.  You will be with us in and out of danger.   You, and ONLY you, are our lifeguard, and our protector; our Savior, our Heavenly Father.    I pray that we desire ONLY to follow where you lead us to go.  Luke 9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and  take up his cross daily and follow me.  Everyday many of us make calendars..and YES it is a new month...SEPTEMBER is here !!! We make calendars to keep track of events, appointments, and other happenings or events going on in our lives.   We are so busy rushing around in our lives and trying to micromanage.  We have it down to the very detail.   Some may have a daily schedul...

LET GO AND LET GOD

Have you ever set back and thought... Well, maybe it is time for me to let GOD  take control of this in my life.   First of all, You need to realize that GOD really already has control -- but he wants you to surrender to him that control.   There probably are some of you out there who have thought about it, but how many of you have done it... You need to REALLY let him have control.. Let go of the worry and stress  that is dragging you down.. LET GO AND LET GOD..... The Bible says  Psalms 55:22  Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee:  he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. WHY WOULD ANYONE KEEP CARRYING BURDENS WHEN GOD WILL CARRY THEM FOR US???? They are not ours, but HIS.. We have to realize that we cannot truly handle things on our own...we have to say  DEAR LORD.. Not mine, but yours.   It may be hard, but we have to g...

Of Hens and Humans

I saw a lot of human characteristics and actions while I sat there on the stoop at my Mama's Ruby's house.  You can learn a lot watching the happenings in a barnyard.   I know I did watching the many adventures of my grandparent's roosters and chickens.   This brought to me, after all of these years, in a featherly way what is common and wrong in the lives of people.   We are a lot like those birds. I have a beautiful group of chickens and roosters. They are all different varieties and colors.   Each one has its own style and personality.   I named one of those beautiful hens, Ellie Mae.  She was a victim of the other chickens’ unfair treatment.  She was a beautiful hen.  I would sit and watch her walk around the grass.  I was sitting on the porch cracking some pecans one day.  We were going to make some pies.   I noticed that sweet Ellie Mae had some feathers missing.   L ater that day, I saw what had ha...
