GO YE AND LEARN

Today take your Bible and let's read.  

Matthew Chapter 9

Verse 10 it says

And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

Now let's think about this.  Jesus got a place to sit and was eating.  People gathered around to eat; disciples, publicans and sinners alike.  Jesus didn't DID NOT get up and move.  

HE STAYED...  He stayed seated with them, ALL of them.     

    

Along came the Pharisees, and wanted to try to cause a stir.  They didn't think it was proper.  They thought this was unheard of.  They began to question the disciples about their Master.   

Verse 11 says:  

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

Verse 12-13 says:  

12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

WOW..Did you read that?  

THEY THAT BE WHOLE...NEED NOT A PHYSICIAN, 

BUT THEY THAT ARE SICK..

Jesus told the Pharisees, that people who are not sin sick, 

DO NOT need "THE GREAT PHYSICIAN"    

He then told them to GO YE and LEARN what that MEANS...

He told them that HE WOULD HAVE MERCY and NO SACRIFICE...

He said I AM NOT COME TO CALL THE RIGHTEOUS, BUT SINNERS TO REPENTENCE.

COME NOW PEOPLE..do you see that example he has put forth.  

We are to be among people, 

but not be of the 

sin going on in the world.  

You have to be around all walks of people to 

TELL THEM ABOUT GOD...

BUT you do not have to partake of the 

sins of the world  to witness.

Now let's bring it home...

Hmm, think about this..

You go to the doctor when you aren't sick? Right? 

Some of you might say..Well I go to get a checkup. 

Well okay.. 

When the GREAT PHYSICIAN heals you 

and takes away your sins..

You want to KEEP in fellowship with HIM and HIS PEOPLE...

SO THERE IS YOUR CHECK UP !!!!!!

GO YE AND LEARN !!
