Heavenly Citizenship



 


In our country,   

we have many laws. 

We have laws against harassing, assaulting another person, stealing, and murder.  There are a number of laws we have in our country.  I could go on and on with the different laws we have in our country. 

I believe in order for there to be peace and order, we need laws, and police officers. (just a little shout out to our LE there - THANK YOU !!)  

Now on to the topic at hand.. 

Of late, we have had a lot of stir about voting in our country.  We want our voting system to be fair.  It should be fair, and in a way where everyone that is able to vote should get one vote. 

The issue we seem to have is illegal voting, i.e. voter fraud.  We have had people convicted of illegal voting in the past and said people have had at times been sentenced to 10 years in prison.  When a person is convicted of voting in elections and they are not legally qualified to vote then they are committing a crime. 

The illegal voter managed to steal the identity of a real citizen and use that identification to help vote a government official into office.  They are only one of many that is guilty of having a say in a government that they are not part of.  They are being a hypocrite.    

 

            NOW SHIFT GEARS

 

Leave politics behind.  Let’s talk about God.  When a person is attempts, or does this by making themselves and others believe that they are future citizens of Heaven, i.e. children of God.    

A person can talk like a Christian, go to places a Christian should go, and even carry a Bible proudly.  They can pretend and act many ways.  They can speak many different opinions and put on an act.  They really do not know God personally at all. 

 

 THE BIBLE SAYS: 


Matthew 7:13-14

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.


The Bible plainly states that the gate is strait, but the way is narrow and that few will find it. 

Works will not get you into Heaven.   No one can earn Heaven.  Unless one does what God commands one must do, one will never spend eternity with God.

God’s way of getting to Heaven is first to realize that they are a sinner. 


“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans. 3:23


“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” Rom. 3:10

 

No one’s good works or deeds are enough to pay for their sins.


Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

 

When one has heard the Word of God and understands he is lost and going to Hell without Christ in his heart.  He has to call upon the Lord to forgive him and save him from his sins. 


“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Rom. 10:9


“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Rom. 10:13


After one has believed what God says about his sinful situation and trusted Christ’s sacrifice, he is saved, or as the Bible describes it, “born again.” 


He then can know he will one day be a future 

citizen of Heaven and walk with Jesus there.


Everyone is worried about citizenship of this world..

DON'T miss out on HEAVEN !!!!

This world will pass away....

HEAVEN IS ETERNITY !!!!

JUST DUST

JUST DUST As I peered down the grocer aisle, there she was.. Standing there with her red pigtails, and fancy hair bows. I wanted to melt into the floor, and fade into the tile.  I was wearing my polyester pant suit that my Aunt Lucy made me... No Not One
