Broken Pieces

BROKEN PIECES

In a world that is so chaotic today, many times from day to day

we face problems.  Many of our lives are filled with puzzles that plague us.

Some of these pieces are rough, and just don't fit,

and some are even broken.

Rest assured there is a

PUZZLE MASTER.

One who can make ALL of the pieces fit.

In Acts 27:44

The Bible tells us that

41And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves. 42And the soldiers' counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape. 43But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: 44And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.

There are days that our lives are so messed up we

reach for any kind of relief...

We are a people that will reach first for

ALCOHOL, SEX, DRUGS

in hopes of toning out or numbing our problems

that

are in our lives.

These are all TEMPORARY fixes in a TEMPORARY world...

There is only one answer to the turmoil in your life

GOD

Psalms 55:22 - Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

He can SOLVE all of your problems...

Romans Road to Salvation

I believe  I am ‘good’… That should be enough, shouldn’t it? NO...don't be fooled by Satan...Being "GOOD" can get you straight into HELL...Good people go to Hell everyday.

Romans 3:23 KJV – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:10 KJV – As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 5:12 KJV – Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
In 1 John 1:5, the Bible tells us that God is light.  God expects his creation to obey the laws He put into place.  In James 2:10, the Bible says, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.  All of guilty, so don't think anyone is better than you.

Is sin really that much of a problem? If so, what hope can I possibly have?

Romans 6:23 KJV – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Disobedience to God deserves consequences. We have a conscience within our hearts. God gave us his WORD, the Bible. God cannot let us just do anything and not feel consequences.

He sent HIS ONLY SON to die in our place on the cross. Jesus Christ took all the weight of our sins so we can be saved through grace.  It has NOTHING to do with our works...

After what I’ve done to disappoint God… How could send his Son to die in my place?

BECAUSE HE LOVES!!!!!
Romans 5:8 KJV – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

 Luke 23:34
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

So, how can I be Saved?

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:9-10  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Being a good person has NOTHING to do with salvation.  Our works WILL NOT get us to Heaven.  Baptism WILL NOT get you to Heaven.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

We can be saved only by confessing our sins to God and putting all of our faith in Jesus Christ, God's son who died for us on the Cross of Calvary.

The first step to accepting Christ is to truly feel sorrow for the way we have chosen to live.

2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Worldly sorrow is more like the regret of a criminal who’s just been caught whereas Godly sorrow is the deep remorse or conviction that produces a change in direction.

Have you ever felt convicted after doing something wrong?
Romans 10:13 KJV – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you are truly saved..trust me you will know it..You will have the desire to tell everyone...You will be excited about your new life in Christ.  We are promised in the Word that “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” ~ John 1:12 Yes, we were promised and God is NOT a liar. Jesus BROKE the power of sin and death on the cross with his own blood that HE shed for US, all of US.

I am SAVED by the Grace of Jesus Christ, what do I do now?

Romans 10:173 KJV – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Your journey as a child of God has just begun! Get to know Him in daily prayer
and by studying his Word, the Bible.

You must also find fellowship with other believers in a Church that teaches and preaches the Bible. You should also now confess Jesus, your savior before men. Share about your new faith in Christ with your family, coworkers and others whom God has placed on your daily path.

Don't you want your loved ones and friends to go to Heaven too?
HE CAN PUT YOUR BROKEN PIECES BACK TOGETHER <3

Of Hens and Humans

I saw a lot of human characteristics and actions while I sat there on the stoop at my Mama's Ruby's house.  You can learn a lot watching the happenings in a barnyard.   I know I did watching the many adventures of my grandparent's roosters and chickens.   This brought to me, after all of these years, in a featherly way what is common and wrong in the lives of people.   We are a lot like those birds. I have a beautiful group of chickens and roosters. They are all different varieties and colors.   Each one has its own style and personality.   I named one of those beautiful hens, Ellie Mae.  She was a victim of the other chickens’ unfair treatment.  She was a beautiful hen.  I would sit and watch her walk around the grass.  I was sitting on the porch cracking some pecans one day.  We were going to make some pies.   I noticed that sweet Ellie Mae had some feathers missing.   L ater that day, I saw what had ha...

JUST DUST

JUST DUST As I peered down the grocer aisle, there she was.. Standing there with her red pigtails, and fancy hair bows. I wanted to melt into the floor, and fade into the tile.  I was wearing my polyester pant suit that my Aunt Lucy made me... She was wearing store bought clothes; it was just one of the reasons  she thought she was better than me.      And well, some kids at school thought if you didn't have  those fancy store bought things that you didn't match up.   I was just not good enough.  See, my family didn't have all those fancy  things that money could afford. My daddy was a hard worker. He worked from daylight to dark.. He was a carpenter.    My Mama and Daddy gave me and  my brothers a wonderful, loving home.   They provided for us well.  They took us to church. ...

No Not One

NO NOT ONE I was sitting on the doorstep with my friend Sophie one Saturday evening, and I said, “Sophie, ask your Mama if you spend the night at my house tonight.” “Hey, great idea”, she said.   We were only seven years old, and having a sleep over was way cool.   Then she said, “Oh wait, tomorrow is Sunday.   Are you going to go to church?” I said, “Well, yes, of course I am, but you can go with us.   Come on, you will like Sunday School.   It is fun.” “Oh, I don’t know”, she said.   “Why, don’t you want to go”? She said, “I don’t think God wants me in Heaven, I have been too bad.”     I giggled at Sophie, and she gasped..I quickly apologized And gave her a hug..and said: My dear friend My Dear Lord and Savior Gave his precious son’s life blood for you   All of us are too bad for Heaven… But NONE of us are too bad To be FORGIVEN...
