REASON FOR ALL SEASONS

If we gathered today and walked down the streets of Athens, AL it would not be difficult to recognize what season it is.

You will find Santa Claus, Elves, decorated trees, and all the festive things all along the square in Athens.
It is the season of Christmas.

A time of year that a lot of people celebrate for Santa Claus.
Now don’t get me wrong; I love the gift giving.  I LOVE giving gifts.
If I was a person who was able I would pass out gifts all the time..because I so love to see a person’s face light up with a big smile.

This is a joy of mine.

Something troubles me though..
I see the phrase…

HE IS The REASON FOR The SEASON

Often..

And I think…

COME ON PEOPLE

HE  IS  THE  REASON  FOR  EVERY  SEASON

He GAVE you breathe.

He DIED for you.

He ROSE from the grave.

He is COMING again.

O BLESSED IS THE NAME OF JESUS

Of Hens and Humans

I saw a lot of human characteristics and actions while I sat there on the stoop at my Mama's Ruby's house.  You can learn a lot watching the happenings in a barnyard.   I know I did watching the many adventures of my grandparent's roosters and chickens.   This brought to me, after all of these years, in a featherly way what is common and wrong in the lives of people.   We are a lot like those birds. I have a beautiful group of chickens and roosters. They are all different varieties and colors.   Each one has its own style and personality.   I named one of those beautiful hens, Ellie Mae.  She was a victim of the other chickens’ unfair treatment.  She was a beautiful hen.  I would sit and watch her walk around the grass.  I was sitting on the porch cracking some pecans one day.  We were going to make some pies.   I noticed that sweet Ellie Mae had some feathers missing.   L ater that day, I saw what had ha...

JUST DUST

JUST DUST As I peered down the grocer aisle, there she was.. Standing there with her red pigtails, and fancy hair bows. I wanted to melt into the floor, and fade into the tile.  I was wearing my polyester pant suit that my Aunt Lucy made me... She was wearing store bought clothes; it was just one of the reasons  she thought she was better than me.      And well, some kids at school thought if you didn't have  those fancy store bought things that you didn't match up.   I was just not good enough.  See, my family didn't have all those fancy  things that money could afford. My daddy was a hard worker. He worked from daylight to dark.. He was a carpenter.    My Mama and Daddy gave me and  my brothers a wonderful, loving home.   They provided for us well.  They took us to church. ...

WE are practically old friends per se and you don't even think about it. You may be his, but you are already working with me.. and for that.. I thank you Oh, don't worry about it. But don't think about going back to his side, I won't let you get back that easy... I make it fun to be with me. If God has a special place in his leadership, I will fight to keep you working for me, I love throwing fun curve balls... I do appreciate you very much. I love how you keep sharing my thoughts on the internet.. It doesn't matter how it affects your family. Any posts that are unGodly are for me..you know that r...
