SPEAK LOVE
Today let’s talk about kindness in speaking.
Today let’s talk about kindness in speaking.
Can you imagine if every time each of us opened our
mouths that
we only spoke with healing words that were sprinkled
with
encouragement, comfort, wisdom, love and
truth.
I know this is hard to do, but my mind was just stuck
on that thought this afternoon.
Imagine that…
Just kindness, and loving thoughts
about everyone..
WOW…
When I was growing up, my mother used to tell me
anytime I encountered someone who was unkind to me to
“Pour Sugar on them”
Of course, I knew she didn’t literally mean to
Go home and get into the sugar canister, and
pour sugar on their heads. I would have surely got a spanking.
She meant to be VERY NICE to them.
This was very difficult at times, because there
were times
that they were awful mean to me.
It is VERY HARD to be nice to a person who is mean to
you; however,
I did it anyway…because Mama told me to do it.
This seemed to work though
Hmm…My Mama was one smart Lady.. ❤
The Bible tells us in Philippians that this is what we
should think on:
Philippians 4:8
Finally,
brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever
things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be
any praise, think on these things.
When you read the verse above you will see that these
things are what we are to be thinking about, and none of them are hurtful to
each other or anyone else. If you are thinking of these things, then
chances you would be saying anything hurtful either.
This verse will in many ways
help us get through difficult times in our lives; some of us are right now
going through difficult times.
We need to pray as women for
each other so that we may speak wisely and clearly that he will give us the
words that we need, in a timely manner, so that we can say what we need to say
and in loving, wise words, and always take every opportunity to tell the lost
about Christ.
Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words are as an
honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
It is not always about what
makes us happy. You see, GOD does not
exist to make us happy. He exists for
HIS own glory. His hope is to always
make us realize that whatever we are going through, it is always for our good,
and for his glory.
The only way we are
going to realize that is to have a
relationship with his son..
WITHOUT DIFFICULTIES
(LIFE LESSONS)
WE WOULD NOT LEAN ON HIM
Have a wonderful day...
Much Love,
Lisa G. <3
