Jealous? Yes HE is

JEALOUS...YES HE IS

In the Bible it says:

Matthew 6:24

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

GOD IS A

GOD !!!!

I have often heard the saying...YOU cannot straddle the fence.  There is a choice to be made in your life...

You will either serve God, or you will serve the Devil.

There is Good and there is Evil...

It is clear cut....

Exodus 34:14

14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

NOW...let's think about this...

Does a god have to be a stone figure that you
sit up in your home, such as Buddha?

 NO !!!

It doesn't have to be a stone figure..

A god is anything that you show reverence to before the LIVING  GOD and
it could be any number of things.

1.  Television
2.  Boat
3.  X-box
4.  Job
5.  Computer

Ouch...did I step on some toes???

Now don't get me wrong, I know some of you have to work, but you don't have to VOLUNTEER to take OVERTIME shifts on Sunday....

BUT

You have food right?
I don' t think you NEED to go fishing, or hunting to feed your family on Sunday...

WHOOOOOAAAA

Pull up a chair...

let's get REAL here.

I know you are doing some big things
when you are playing that XBox on your
sofa on Sunday Morning..

Are you praying between reloading that
fake gun?

PRAISING HIM BETWEEN
getting a NEW LIFE on that game???

I really doubt it...

If you are putting those things
in front of
WORSHIPING GOD

They are your idol..your god.

Who said this...God did...

HE IS JEALOUS, and LOVING <3

and HE is the ONLY LIVING GOD...

Exodus 20:5

Deuteronomy 4:24

Deuteronomy 5:9

Deuteronomy 6:15

I hope you have a wonderful day...

God Bless

Of Hens and Humans

I saw a lot of human characteristics and actions while I sat there on the stoop at my Mama's Ruby's house.  You can learn a lot watching the happenings in a barnyard.   I know I did watching the many adventures of my grandparent's roosters and chickens.   This brought to me, after all of these years, in a featherly way what is common and wrong in the lives of people.   We are a lot like those birds. I have a beautiful group of chickens and roosters. They are all different varieties and colors.   Each one has its own style and personality.   I named one of those beautiful hens, Ellie Mae.  She was a victim of the other chickens’ unfair treatment.  She was a beautiful hen.  I would sit and watch her walk around the grass.  I was sitting on the porch cracking some pecans one day.  We were going to make some pies.   I noticed that sweet Ellie Mae had some feathers missing.   L ater that day, I saw what had ha...

JUST DUST

JUST DUST As I peered down the grocer aisle, there she was.. Standing there with her red pigtails, and fancy hair bows. I wanted to melt into the floor, and fade into the tile.  I was wearing my polyester pant suit that my Aunt Lucy made me... She was wearing store bought clothes; it was just one of the reasons  she thought she was better than me.      And well, some kids at school thought if you didn't have  those fancy store bought things that you didn't match up.   I was just not good enough.  See, my family didn't have all those fancy  things that money could afford. My daddy was a hard worker. He worked from daylight to dark.. He was a carpenter.    My Mama and Daddy gave me and  my brothers a wonderful, loving home.   They provided for us well.  They took us to church. ...

No Not One

NO NOT ONE I was sitting on the doorstep with my friend Sophie one Saturday evening, and I said, “Sophie, ask your Mama if you spend the night at my house tonight.” “Hey, great idea”, she said.   We were only seven years old, and having a sleep over was way cool.   Then she said, “Oh wait, tomorrow is Sunday.   Are you going to go to church?” I said, “Well, yes, of course I am, but you can go with us.   Come on, you will like Sunday School.   It is fun.” “Oh, I don’t know”, she said.   “Why, don’t you want to go”? She said, “I don’t think God wants me in Heaven, I have been too bad.”     I giggled at Sophie, and she gasped..I quickly apologized And gave her a hug..and said: My dear friend My Dear Lord and Savior Gave his precious son’s life blood for you   All of us are too bad for Heaven… But NONE of us are too bad To be FORGIVEN...
