IN HIS TIME

IN  HIS TIME

In the Bible, we come across so many different instances

where God made people wait on him.

I am sure you have never had to wait on anything in your life,

have you?

I mean...come on...

A doctor's appointment..

the bus..

We wait all the time..

What makes you think that God should deliver for you

the very minute that you ask something of him?

We have become a society of " I want it now".

This has really spoiled us so badly.

In the Bible, we see how:

  • God could have made David become king the day after he was anointed.
HOWEVER, He waited 15 years to rise to the throne, many of those years spent fearing for his life, hiding out and running away from his own father-in-law.

  • God could have spoken to Moses in the desert about sending him to help free His people from slavery 40 days after he ran away from Egypt.

HOWEVER, He made him wait for 40 long years.

Life is not about how quick you can get something or somewhere...

It is all about YOUR PURPOSE...

God has a reason for you in your life.

Things will happen in HIS TIME....

Wherever you are at today know that God is right beside you and that there is a PURPOSE for you.

It may not happen today, or tomorrow..It may not happen next month or next year.

BUT don't give up...because GOD is with you, and he will see you through all things; just rely on him, and follow his will.

Don’t give up just because you don’t see anything happening today.

Yes, I know ..

       WE   ALL   GET   TIRED..

                                                            WE ARE HUMAN..

REMEMBER...even if there is nothing physically happening that your eyes can see  -- GOD has things going on behind the scenes.

YOU CAN ALWAYS RELY ON HIM.

Let it build your faith and give you even greater hope for what God has prepared for you.

He made some of the greatest men of faith wait.

Patience is golden... 💓

Have a fantabulous day.

REMEMBER the Bible says

James 1:4
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Be Blessed,
Lisa

Of Hens and Humans

I saw a lot of human characteristics and actions while I sat there on the stoop at my Mama's Ruby's house.  You can learn a lot watching the happenings in a barnyard.   I know I did watching the many adventures of my grandparent's roosters and chickens.   This brought to me, after all of these years, in a featherly way what is common and wrong in the lives of people.   We are a lot like those birds. I have a beautiful group of chickens and roosters. They are all different varieties and colors.   Each one has its own style and personality.   I named one of those beautiful hens, Ellie Mae.  She was a victim of the other chickens’ unfair treatment.  She was a beautiful hen.  I would sit and watch her walk around the grass.  I was sitting on the porch cracking some pecans one day.  We were going to make some pies.   I noticed that sweet Ellie Mae had some feathers missing.   L ater that day, I saw what had ha...

JUST DUST

JUST DUST As I peered down the grocer aisle, there she was.. Standing there with her red pigtails, and fancy hair bows. I wanted to melt into the floor, and fade into the tile.  I was wearing my polyester pant suit that my Aunt Lucy made me... She was wearing store bought clothes; it was just one of the reasons  she thought she was better than me.      And well, some kids at school thought if you didn't have  those fancy store bought things that you didn't match up.   I was just not good enough.  See, my family didn't have all those fancy  things that money could afford. My daddy was a hard worker. He worked from daylight to dark.. He was a carpenter.    My Mama and Daddy gave me and  my brothers a wonderful, loving home.   They provided for us well.  They took us to church. ...

No Not One

NO NOT ONE I was sitting on the doorstep with my friend Sophie one Saturday evening, and I said, “Sophie, ask your Mama if you spend the night at my house tonight.” “Hey, great idea”, she said.   We were only seven years old, and having a sleep over was way cool.   Then she said, “Oh wait, tomorrow is Sunday.   Are you going to go to church?” I said, “Well, yes, of course I am, but you can go with us.   Come on, you will like Sunday School.   It is fun.” “Oh, I don’t know”, she said.   “Why, don’t you want to go”? She said, “I don’t think God wants me in Heaven, I have been too bad.”     I giggled at Sophie, and she gasped..I quickly apologized And gave her a hug..and said: My dear friend My Dear Lord and Savior Gave his precious son’s life blood for you   All of us are too bad for Heaven… But NONE of us are too bad To be FORGIVEN...
