  Well let's think about this question  or a moment; what do you think Satan wants.   Maybe he wants your car keys.. Noooo...    He has bigger fish he wants to fry... 1)   The devil wants you distracted .   It doesn't matter to him what he has you distracted on, as long as you aren't focused on God first. Maybe he will even distract you with good things at first.   At least you consider them good, and maybe they are, but they are not what GOD wants.   He doesn't mind a slow erosion of your focus, as long he is working you in his way.
